Bedford Web Design has been building websites for Bedfordshire businesses since 2009. We're deliberately small — when you work with us, you work directly with the person designing and building your site. No account managers, no hand-offs, no "let me check with the team".

Over 15 years we've launched more than a hundred websites — for restaurants and retailers, tree surgeons and tyre fitters, make-up artists and marquee companies. The common thread: every one was built to do a job, not just to look pretty. Though they do look pretty.

How much does a website cost?

Brochure websites start from £995 and online stores from £1,795. Every project gets a fixed written quote before we start — the price we agree is the price you pay. Most clients are pleasantly surprised.

How long does it take?

A typical brochure site takes 3–5 weeks from kick-off to launch; ecommerce usually 5–8. The biggest variable is content — if you have text and photos ready, things move fast. If you don't, we can help create them.

Will I be able to update the site myself?

Yes. Every site comes with a simple editor and a training session, so you can change text, photos and prices without touching code. And if you'd rather not, our care plans include monthly tweaks done for you.

Do you only work with businesses in Bedford?

No — we're based in Bedford and love working locally, but we build for businesses across the UK. Everything can happen over email and video calls just as easily as over coffee.

What happens after launch?

You're not left on your own. Every project includes 30 days of free support, and our care plans cover hosting, backups, updates and content changes from £49/month — cancel anytime.

I already have a website. Can you improve it instead of rebuilding?

Often, yes. We'll audit what you have and give you an honest answer: sometimes a conversion tune-up and speed work gets you 80% of the benefit at 20% of the cost. Sometimes a rebuild genuinely is the better investment — we'll show you why either way.
